thoughts: actually really good and i understand why it's so hyped. it's not like a masterpiece, if you're expecting lord of the rings you're not getting it. it's more of a romantasy than fantasy but still has a lot of cool fantasy elements by the third book as the focus shifts from interpersonal relationships to inter-court relationships and war. i didn't finish ACOWAR so i was going to go back to the start of the series to try to jog my memory as i had about a half a year of not reading but i just didn't finish it. i'd like to come back to this series at some point and finish it though.

thoughts: i loved this series and i felt like it had a good balance of lightness and depth. at times it was a fun Y/A read, other times it was actually giving the vibes of a crime thriller. very fun! i love pip and ravi

thoughts: i undersrand why a little life is controversial and why some people find it beautiful and others find it horrifying. as a trauma survivor, i found a little life to be one of the most thought-provoking and touching books i've ever read. i sobbed real tears like a baby. read with caution, though, it's very heavy and has a bleak ending

thoughts: i think everyone should read narnia at least once. i cried like a little baby at the end. i did not expect for this series to be so incredible, touching, and memorable considering it's a children's book, but it deals with some surprisingly heavy themes. i read most of this series while recovering from surgeries and it was perfect, no notes.

thoughts: in 2023, i read my favourite book i've ever read for the first time. wuthering heights is a masterpiece, and i only wish we could have gotten more of emily's writing before she passed. but for THIS to be her only novel? holy crap. banger.
